Airboat Ride/Fossil Hunting

Youve chosen our Airboat Ride/Fossil Hunting option! This tour is a fantastic family option, although as with all of our digs it does require some degree of physical ability. Therefore, we always advise using a digging buddy system to maximize finding! Water depth can vary from site to site, but most are knee to waist deep for adults. All of our tours are oriented for kids as well, so we are sure to make sure they are included as well, no matter the depth. This is a great option for beginners or those with light experience digging waterways, with fossil finding ranging nicely between smaller and medium sized specimens with occasional larger shark teeth and fossils joining the party.

Swamp Buggy Ride/Fossil Hunting

One of our classic options,  this is our Swamp Buggy Creek Dig! Enjoy shallower conditions in a much more private setting, although traversing banks and some creek walking is required and can be challenging for those with physical limitations. Depths can range from ankle deep to waist deep.  As with every dig, we advise a digging buddy system that maximizes finding. This is a great option for children and families, with finding lots of varying fossils (including ice age), smaller sharks teeth and occasional larger sharks teeth!

Premium Airboat Dig

Our Premium Airboat Dig is a crowd favorite! Only available at certain times,  this river dig provides you with the best shot at finding the biggest fossils and sharks teeth. Our longest tour of all, this option is physical and certainly will take a dedicated digger to shovel through the thick layer to find the big stuff! Although it is family friendly, we certainly suggest buddying up to maximize physical limits on this one, especially when kids are involved. Our equipment is specialized to capture the best gravel and matrix, but it is heavy duty and this dig experience requires stamina. In all cases, we always make sure to keep  family members of all ages and capabilities involved on any realistic level, so worry not. Waterlevels can be as deep as chest high in adults,  with median levels thigh to waist deep. This dig truly shines with finds,  so eat your wheaties and let's find some megs!

Premium Land Site Swamp Buggy Adventure

Our new fan favorite dig! After months of searching, we present to you fossil dirt that has been preselected, dropped and availed to table sifting for your finding pleasure! After an awesome wilderness buggy ride, we arrive at the hidden site, surrounded by native deer and wildlife, and participate in a rudimentary dig and sift experience. Folks will dig the surrounding piles into buckets,  carry them over to our sifting tables, and work the material through in search of large shark teeth, fossils and more. As stated, this does require some lifting and carrying of buckets, so buddy systems are very helpful, as well as using the guide to assist you with the labor. This dig is a great option for those only interested in finding larger teeth, as quantities can be low, but larger, quality fossils are found at a higher rate than standard digs. Great analogous experiences would be, say, fishing for large pelagic fish or even hitting the $10 slot machines... maybe only a few hits but most likely those hits will be quality! This is also a great alternative for families looking to avoid a water-based dig. At the conclusion, enjoy an additional ride through the swamp, and be sure to visit our partners at Jungle Doria's for a great visit to the Wildlife Park, all included in the ticket price.

Boneshelf Ice Age Airboat Dig

If vertebrate fossils are your thing, then this is your dig! Enjoy a 5 hour dig on a rich vertebrate deposit on the Peace River, where we commonly see Ice Age mammal teeth, scutes,

bones and more. Shark teeth are scarce here, but occasionally do show up. Lots of heavier material here, so as always, keep in mind when booking that buddy systems work well. Our equipment can be heavy, but digs like this one show our clients why we only use the best of the best. After the airboat ride, watch the shorelines for native wildlife and enjoy a scenic route back to port. Fossil Permits are urged here, although again if keeping less than a gallon of vertebrate fossils, it is not required. Identification sessions at the end are valuable here as well, as many specimens can be overwhelming.

Peace River Oaks Walk-In Dig

Staying at Peace River Oaks? Want to stay there? Well, either way, enjoy a signature experience with us while present on our 4 hour walk-in dig. All equipment is provided and the dig is fully assisted and guided. Access points directly from the camp, dig up a nice mix of sharks teeth, ice age fossils and even occasional megalodon teeth. Terrain can vary with some limestone crags present while walking in, so please wear proper footwear, as well as weather appropriate gear (a bit chilly here in the winter months-wetsuits suggested). This is a great choice for families although again, younger children may be a little tested with the aforementioned challenges. Water levels are median waist deep, seasonally depending.
