The Fossil Club of Lee County, Inc. is an organization of people interested in the fossils of southern Florida and all points beyond. The Manasota Fossil Club seeks to bring together people who share an interested in paleontology and archaeology, with an emphasis on the fossils and artifacts of Florida. We currently meet on the evening of the second Wednesday of each month at 8084 Hawkins Road, Suncoast Academy School, which is just 2 miles east of I75 off of Clark Rd. On Clark, turn right on Hawkins, follow it until you can make your first left (asphalt road) and follow the fence on the left. You will see parked cars and an open gate in the fence. We meet in room #904 (portable room).

Each meeting typically features a guest speaker and light refreshments are provided. We also typically have a raffle table of fossil items donated by members, with the raffle held after the conclusion of the evening's program. Members and visitors are encouraged to bring their latest fossil finds for display and also for ID help. Our members are a great source of information and are always happy to share their knowledge.

We hunt throughout ancient Florida oceans for the illusive, massive, 2-23 million year old fossilized teeth of the largest predator to ever roam the earth, the Megalodon Shark.

Our ethical, handmade, personally hand-picked shark tooth jewelry and fashion-forward apparel made along the way are also to support a great cause for sharks still swimming today. Our mission is to HELP ANCIENT SHARKS SAVE LIVING SHARKS through our donations to finsattached.org and SavingTheBlue.org, who's marine research and conservation efforts track sharks while using this data for effective policy changes across various countries around the world who are contributing to the exponential decline of sharks. There are many species that have lost 95% of their population just in a couple decades.

We risk our lives across ancient oceans in Florida to uncover some of the most beautiful shark teeth the world has ever seen.
